Graphic designer and Master’s student in Semiotics at the University of Bologna. Originally from the Netherlands, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. Her interdisciplinary research connects visual practice and semiotic theory, with a particular focus on ecology, extractivism, and feminist material semiotics. In her current Master’s thesis, she examines the agency of minerals and natural materials and their role in ecological, political, and colonial dynamics.
She is co-founder of Making Sense, a semiotics collective that organizes seminars and collaborative events, and SEMI, a graphic design collective that creates exhibitions and websites for artists.
